The organization aims to attract sporting events that not only enhance community engagement but also generate economic benefits for Indian River, St. Lucie, and Martin Counties. The Play Treasure Coast team offers event owners and managers access to top-tier sports facilities, special hotel pricing, and grants to support events.

The 2025 Florida Sports Foundation (FSF) Sports Summit is scheduled for June 8–12 at the Hutchinson Shores Beach Resort & Spa in Jensen Beach, Florida. Hosted in partnership with Play Treasure Coast Sports Tourism, this annual event brings together sports tourism professionals, event rights holders, and industry leaders from across the state.
The summit offers opportunities to engage with sporting event organizers, collaborate with fellow professionals, and stay updated on industry and state developments. Participants can attend enriching educational workshops designed to provide insights into the sports tourism industry. Formal sessions are scheduled for destinations and rights holders to connect and discuss why Florida is the premier destination for sporting events.

Escape to Hutchinson Island Triathlon

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND the Escape to Hutchinson Island Triathlon! Come and experience the beauty of Hutchinson Island. Locals and tourists agree: Martin County’s quaint shorelines are the perfect place to disconnect. With miles and miles of peaceful beaches, beautiful water, and natural sand dunes, there’s no better time to turn off your cell phone and soak up the incredible ambiance of Old Florida.
The Escape to Hutchinson Island Triathlon begins with an open water swim (.25 or .5 miles) in the warm waters of the Atlantic Ocean. From there, the bike route (10 or 20 miles) takes you north along A1A on a flat, fast bike course. Runners complete the race with a scenic run (3.1 or 6.2 mile) that will take you underneath the Ernest Lyons Bridge, with spectacular water views, for the run U-turn before heading back to the park. Two laps for International, one lap for Sprint.

Nike Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities “Nike RBI”, is Major League Baseball’s youth outreach program that provides administrative, programmatic and infrastructural resources and support for organizations that provide baseball and/or softball programming with a focus on underserved kids and communities across the globe. Nike RBI has hundreds of organizations that annually affiliate with the program ranging from MLB Clubs, MiLB Clubs, Park & Recreation Departments, Boys & Girls Clubs, School Districts and other independent non-profit organizations.
Nike RBI will be entering its 36th year of play in 2024 and from its inception in 1989 through the 2023 season, Nike RBI has grown from a local program for 180 boys in South Central Los Angeles to an international campaign encompassing more than 200 cities and provides more than 100,000 male and female participants annually the opportunity to play baseball and/or softball.
