The Vero Beach Film Festival is thrilled to announce the launch of its latest initiative, “FILM VERO”. This innovative program is dedicated to enriching the community through engaging youth programs, fostering impactful partnerships, empowering filmmakers, and driving local tourism.

 

The Vero Beach Film Festival and Charter High School Film Club is now open to all high school students in Indian River County.

This partnership with Charter gives students unique opportunities to explore cinema through lectures, hands-on film production, access to industry professionals, and a platform to showcase their work. It fosters a shared passion for the arts while nurturing the next generation of filmmakers. Stay tuned for more in our upcoming newsletters!

The Vero Beach Film Festival invites you to join us for the Florida premiere screening of SENTENCED. This captivating documentary explores the epidemic of childhood illiteracy. The film tells a forceful yet tender tale of how literacy can free children from generational poverty.

 

Narrated by NBA champion Stephen Curry and produced by Jeff Martin.

 

We are proud to support this event, which is presented by The Learning Alliance and Moonshot Community Action Network, and the great work they are doing to help improve grade-level reading in Indian River County.

JOIN US AND OUR FRIENDS AT MAINSTREET FOR A SHOWING OF ONE OF AMERICA'S TRULY CLASSIC FILMS 'CASABLANCA". A classic World War II romance about Rick Blaine, a nightclub owner in Morocco, who must choose between rekindling a past love with Ilsa Lund or helping her and her husband escape the Nazis. It’s famed for its unforgettable dialogue and themes of love and sacrifice.

 

 

 

WHEN: Saturday, September 21st. 4pm - 6:30pm

 

WHERE: The beautiful landmark Majestic Theatre on US 1, just East of Main Street. 

 

WHAT: The evening will start with a glass or two of complimentary champagne, and plenty of photo-ops in the Majestic Lobby. The concession stand will be open for those interested in popcorn, candy, soft drinks, etc. 

 

We will share a little history of the Casablanca film and why it has such an enduring effect in cinema and society. 

 

We will toast to "Here's looking at you, kid!" and enjoy the film.
